Honey Days

Boyne Valley Honey Days Campaign 2011

We would just like to thank everyone who supported or volunteered their time for the Boyne Valley Honey Days Campaign for 2011. THANK YOU!!!

Sweeten up your life a little this October and support our Boyne Valley Honey Days campaign.

This year's Honey Days campaign runs throughout the month of October.  Throughout the month our members and volunteers will be out and about selling mini pots of Boyne Valley honey and looking for your support.  We are delighted to have the mini honey pots back and hope they prove very popular with our supporters.

The Honey Days campaign is a key part of Down Syndrome Ireland's fundraising calendar.  Funds raised from the campaign are shared between the National organisation and local branches and so monies raised support a wide range of projects at both local and national level.

The funds raised for the National organisation from the 2011 campaign will be dedicated to supporting our front line member support services such as our helpline & information service, member support officer, publications, information seminars and library services.  These services are a very important part of what Down Syndrome Ireland do and not only support our member families, but also the professional that work with them.  There are heavy demands on these services with the helpline & information services alone dealing with over 10,000 calls annually for advice and support.

Locally, the funds rasied from the campaign will go to fund a wide range of services and projects being delivered by our voluntary branches.

If you don't see one of our volunteers, you can still support the campaign. You can buy a Virtual Honey Pot from this website or you can text Honey to 57252

So go on, bee a honey, buy a pot!
