Dept of Education & Skills Directive to NCSE

4th April 2011: Down Syndrome Ireland is aware that the Department of Education and Skills has written to the National Council for Special Education requesting the NCSE to pause sanctioning any additional resource teaching support hours until further notice.  DSI has requested clarification of this directive.  Further updates will be posted when available.  DSI is also in correspondence with the Department re the capping of Special Needs Assistance numbers and the implications of this for our families.
