Launch of New Publication

Down Syndrome Ireland are delighted to announce the launch of a new publication called 'Planning for the Future - Guidelines for Parents of Children and Adults with Down Syndrome'. 

This booklet specialises in the area of Will drafting and estate and tax planning for parents of a child who lacks capacity to look after their own affairs and assets in the future.  It provides a firm and basic understanding of the law in this area and demonstrates clearly the need for all parents of such children to make a Will and ensure adequate provision for their child whilst safeguarding their social welfare benefits.  It also provides a clear and concise guide for writing a Letter of Intent for future guardians/ trustees.
