Sources and Recommended Reading

Note: Books and documents from the UK and other countries outside Ireland will contain references to the education system of the country in which the material was written. It is important to remember that some of the resources, supports and legislation they refer to may differ from those of the Irish education system. For example, material written in the UK may refer to Teaching Assistants, whose role does not correspond exactly with Special Needs Assistants who work in the Irish education system. If in doubt over any matter regarding resources, entitlements and provisions for your own child, refer to an Irish-based information source.
